Sizemore Head Start, a 5-Star Center, has been in operation since 1994 and is located at 200 Oak Street Jefferson, NC. The center operates Monday through Friday from 8:00am until 2:30pm for parent transport and from 8:15 am until 2:45 pm for bus riders. The center has two classrooms with a total desired capacity of 31 children. The three-year old classroom has a child-staff ratio of 15:3. The four-year old classroom is also a North Carolina Pre-K classroom and has a child to staff ratio of 16:3. Ten highly qualified and experienced staff are employed at the Sizemore Head Start Center.
