Duke Energy Carolinas (DEC) Weatherization program has partnered with community and state agencies to help those who qualify access energy saving measures. DEC Weatherization rebates a portion of expenses back to the agency for state completed projects and offers weatherization to homes not eligible for a federal funded project.
Applicants must have an income level at or below 200% federal poverty guidelines and be a Duke Energy customer. Homeowners and renters eligible with Landlord approval.

- Door Weatherstripping
- Clean and/or replace dryer vent
- Hot Water Heater Insulation
- Low Flow Showerheads and aerators
- Attic/Floor/Belly/Wall Insulation
- Duct Sealing/Insulation
- Heating System Tune Up/Repair/Replacement
 Duke Energy’s Helping Home Fund (HHF) provides energy related health & safety repairs and appliance upgrades for their income-qualified customers. Applicants must have an income level at or below 200% federal poverty guidelines. Homeowners and renters eligible with Landlord approval.

- Electrical Repair
- Pest Remediation
- Window or Door Repair/Replacement
- Vapor Barrier
- Water Heater Repair
- Carbon Monoxide/ Smoke Detectors
- Refrigerator/Range/Clothes Washer/Clothes Dryer Replacement
- Heating System Replacement
 *Home must qualify for repairs/replacements
Who is eligible for BCBS’ HHI Program?
- Client’s eligibility is based on the DHHS Federal Poverty level of 200%
       (Clients do NOT have to be customers of BCBS)
